With the VSG24 12-Month Extended Warranty, you can protect your VSG24 product beyond your statutory rights in relation to defects. This gives you greater peace of mind and better planning certainty – especially if you use your vehicle every day or rely on dependable technology.

This warranty extension is a voluntary, paid additional service provided by VSG24. Your statutory rights in relation to defects remain unaffected and are not limited by this warranty.

2. Classification / Relationship to statutory warranty rights

The “VSG24 12-Month Extended Warranty” is a paid, voluntary extended warranty for consumers (end customers) covering a product purchased from VSG24.
It grants additional rights alongside statutory liability for defects. Your statutory rights in relation to defects apply independently of this extended warranty and are not limited by it.

 

3. Who is covered by the extended warranty?

This extended warranty applies exclusively to consumers (end customers).

 

4. Which products are covered by the extended warranty? (Assignment)

The extended warranty applies only to the specific VSG24 product to which it is clearly assigned. This assignment is made via the order/invoice number and/or item number and/or serial number.
The extended warranty is not transferable to other products or other persons.

 

5. Start date, term and coverage period

The relevant date is the delivery date of the associated main product.

The extended warranty covers a period of 12 months and applies after the statutory warranty period, specifically from month 25 to month 36 from the delivery date of the main product.

Example: Delivery on 10/04/2026 → the extended warranty applies from 11/04/2028 to 10/04/2029.

 

6. What constitutes a warranty claim?

A warranty claim arises if the assigned product becomes non-functional within the warranty period (months 25–36 from the delivery date) and no longer works, despite having been used as intended.

 

7. What does VSG24 provide under a valid warranty claim?

In the event of a valid warranty claim, VSG24 will, at its own discretion, provide one of the following:

Repair of the affected item, or

Replacement, if repair is not technically or economically feasible, with an equivalent device/part.

No further claims arise under this warranty (e.g. reimbursement of the purchase price, compensation for loss of use, or consequential damage), insofar as permitted by law.

 

8. Which costs are not covered?

The extended warranty does not cover, in particular:

Installation and removal costs

Workshop costs / labour costs / diagnostic costs

Costs incurred through work carried out by third parties (e.g. workshops, vehicle body builders), even where such work is commissioned for fault-finding or for removal/refitting

 

9. Exclusions: What is not covered by the warranty?

The extended warranty does not apply to damage or failures caused in particular by:

improper use, improper installation or operator error

changes/modifications to the product (e.g. cutting cables, modifying/removing plugs, altering components, opening the housing)

repairs/interference by third parties without prior approval from VSG24

incorrect power supply, faulty wiring, overvoltage, or any other circumstances outside intended use

 

10. How to make a claim under the extended warranty (procedure)

Please contact VSG24 Support before returning any item (by phone/email).

Please have the following information ready:

Invoice/proof of purchase for the main product and the extended warranty

Order/invoice number and/or serial number

Description of the fault (when does the fault occur?)

If possible, a photo/video to assist with diagnosis

VSG24 will then advise you on the next steps (e.g. inspection steps, return, repair or replacement).

 

11. Territorial scope

This extended warranty applies to consumers with a delivery address within the EU / EEA, unless otherwise stated in the shop offer.

You are not buying a new product or a flat-rate repair service. You are purchasing a paid, voluntary extended warranty from VSG24 (Vega Solutions GmbH) for one specifically assigned VSG24 product. This extended warranty is designed to give you added protection once your statutory rights for defects have expired. It gives you an additional service commitment from VSG24 which, in the event of a valid warranty claim, covers a repair or, if that is not possible, a replacement. Important: this extended warranty does not replace your statutory rights. Your legal rights relating to defects remain fully in force and are not limited by the extended warranty.
The relevant date is the delivery date of your main product, meaning the date on which the product was delivered. The VSG24 extended warranty is valid for 12 months. It takes effect after the statutory warranty period, specifically from the 25th to the 36th month following delivery of the main product. For example, if your product was delivered on 10/04/2026, the extended warranty will apply from 11/04/2028 until 10/04/2029. This makes it clear that the extended warranty is an additional protection period that begins once the statutory period has ended.
The extended warranty only ever applies to the specific VSG24 product to which it is clearly assigned. To avoid any misunderstanding, this assignment is linked to details such as the invoice number or order number, and where applicable, the item number or the serial number if one is available. In practical terms, this means that if you own several products, the extended warranty does not automatically apply to all of them. It only applies to the product that is clearly identified in the relevant order or invoice. The extended warranty also cannot be transferred to any other product.
A warranty claim exists if the product assigned to the extended warranty stops functioning during the warranty period, meaning from month 25 to month 36 after the delivery date. In other words, the device is no longer operational. In practice, this typically includes situations such as the monitor staying permanently off or no longer starting up, the camera no longer providing an image despite being connected correctly, or the entire system failing and no longer operating reliably. The product must always have been used as intended, and the defect must not have been caused by any of the excluded reasons set out below.
If a valid warranty claim exists, VSG24 will review the defect and then provide one of the following services. We may repair the affected item or component where this is technically possible and economically reasonable. If a repair is not possible, for example because it is no longer technically feasible or would no longer make sense, we will replace the product or the affected component with an equivalent device or part. For clarity, the decision whether a product is repaired or replaced is made by VSG24 after examining the defect. This extended warranty is limited to repair or replacement. Any further claims, such as reimbursement of the purchase price, compensation for loss of use or consequential damages, are not covered by this extended warranty to the extent permitted by law.
So that you know exactly what to expect, this extended warranty only covers the repair or replacement of the purchased item or part. It does not cover any associated workshop, fitting or removal costs. In particular, it does not cover installation or removal costs, for example if a workshop removes the monitor or takes the camera out of its mount. It also does not cover workshop or labour costs, including diagnostics or fault-finding, nor the cost of services provided by third parties such as body builders or repair shops, even if they are asked to inspect the issue. In other words, the warranty protects the product itself through repair or replacement, but not the labour involved around it.
The extended warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by improper use, modifications or interference with the product. Typical exclusions include, in particular, modifications to the product such as cutting cables, altering or removing plugs, custom wiring, opening the housing or changing components. It also does not apply to repairs or other work carried out by third parties without prior approval from VSG24. Damage caused by an incorrect power supply, for example due to неправильное подключение, overvoltage or faulty wiring, is likewise excluded. The same applies to defects resulting from use outside the product’s intended purpose. This is important because we can only accept responsibility for defects that arise during proper, intended use. Changes to the system can affect both the cause of the defect and the ability to assess it correctly.
